How do I ship fibreboard from China to Nigeria?

Fibreboard goes by sea in a full container, door to door with clearance and duties included. The container is planned by weight, whole pallets are packed against damp, and the product name states density and thickness.

MDF is heavier than particle board, and a container often reaches the weight limit first.
The density grade decides the subheading, so state the density in the declaration.

Nigeria requires products on its mandatory lists to be certified before export, and the certificate must be presented at clearance. We check this before booking, so the risk does not surface when the cargo reaches port.

Damaged edges and corners
Fibreboard edges are soft and get knocked easily by forklifts. Put corner protectors on all four corners of each pallet.

Density not declared
Fibreboard subheadings are split by density; without it you'll be asked for more information.
Item 03
Damp in the container
Panels that absorb moisture swell and crack. Use waterproof film as outer packing and put desiccant in the container.
Item 04
Solid-wood pallets without the IPPC mark
Untreated or unmarked wood packaging may have to be treated or be refused at the destination port. Use fumigation-free pallets or marked fumigated pallets.
