How long is sea freight from China to Ghana, and which port is used?

From Shenzhen or Guangzhou to Tema Port, FCL transit is usually 28 to 35 days, and air freight to Accra Kotoka is 6 to 9 days. Tema is about 30 km from the capital Accra; after release, city delivery usually takes 1 to 2 days, and inland cities such as Kumasi add 2 to 4 days.

FAQ: shipping from China to Ghana

Can Ghana and Nigeria cargo be shipped together?

One purchase can be consolidated in our Shenzhen warehouse and then loaded into separate containers for each country, but not into one container to be split in transit, because the two countries clear separately with different documents and certification. Separate containers are the normal practice, and our quote shows the cost of each shipment.

Is clearance at Tema fast?

Clearance speed at Tema depends on how complete the documents are, whether the cargo is selected for inspection, and current congestion. With complete documents and no inspection it is usually smooth; an inspection adds several working days. We do not promise a fixed number of clearance days, but we push status at every milestone.
