Construction machinery and heavy equipment too tall, wide or heavy for a standard container, and large lots of steel, rebar and other heavy goods, suit breakbulk. We draw up a lashing plan from the cargo's dimensions, weight and centre of gravity, confirm the sailing against the current schedule, then clear and deliver to the door after arrival. Vehicles that can drive on board can go by Ro-Ro instead.

No container, no dismantling
Transit times for all three options are confirmed against the current sailing schedule. One lot can be split across several options; we work out the door-to-door total for each so you can compare.
We need each piece's length, width, height and weight and whether it can be dismantled; for heavy equipment, the centre of gravity too, plus the unloading conditions at the receiving site.

Compare options and get a door-to-door quote
By size and volume we compare breakbulk, flat rack, open top and Ro-Ro, and work out the door-to-door total for each so you can compare.
3
Lashing plan and loading
A lashing plan is drawn up from the equipment's size, weight and centre of gravity. Photos are taken after loading, and after sailing you get the bill of lading and estimated arrival date.
4
Clearance at the destination port
Our own team in Lagos handles import clearance and updates you at each step, with no need to chase a clearing agent yourself.
5
Delivery to your door
After release, local trucks sized for the cargo deliver to the receiving address; inland road and bridge limits are confirmed at the quoting stage.

Breakbulk Shipping to Your Door: FAQ
01Which is cheaper, breakbulk or containers?
It depends on volume and piece size. For large lots of steel and rebar, breakbulk is usually cheaper; for smaller lots or anything that fits in a box, a full container is more flexible. We work out the door-to-door total for both so you can compare.
02What information do you need for breakbulk?
The cargo list, each piece's length, width, height and weight, whether it can be dismantled, the centre of gravity of heavy equipment, and whether the receiving site has a crane or forklift.
03How does oversized equipment get from the port to the site?
Local trucks are arranged to suit the equipment's size and weight. Inland road and bridge limits must be assessed in advance; we confirm them at the quoting stage.
