What's the cheapest way to send small shipments to Africa?
Regular restocking goes by sea-freight LCL, charged by actual volume or weight; samples and urgent goods go by air.
Sea-freight LCL from 1 cubic metre, so there is no full-container minimum while you test products.
Samples, urgent goods and high-value small items go by air, from 21 kg, 7 - 12 days to the door in Nigeria.
Goods from several suppliers can be gathered in one warehouse and loaded together (Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Yiwu), filling space better and lowering the unit cost.
Everything is counted and photographed at intake, so problems with the goods are caught before shipping.
Common problems
01
Too little cargo to fill a container
When testing products you stock a few dozen to a few hundred pieces per item, nowhere near a full container. It is hard to find a forwarder willing to take small batches, or you are charged a full-container minimum.
02
Samples and urgent goods cannot wait for sea freight
Samples for overseas customers and restocking after a sell-out both need speed that sea freight cannot give. But many air routes only go to the airport, leaving clearance and delivery to the receiver.
03
Suppliers ship separately
With suppliers in different cities each shipping on their own, you pay freight several times, goods arrive at different times, and there is no single check before loading.
04
Logistics holds up your restocking
Sea freight takes a long time, so once an item sells out, restocking comes too late. You need sea and air combined: main items by sea to control cost, best-sellers by air to refill stock.
Our approach
Small-batch LCL
Charged by actual volume or weight, with no full-container minimum. While testing products you can send small quantities and scale up once the market is proven.
Samples and urgent goods by air to the door
Air freight with duties paid to the door, including clearance, duties and local delivery: 7 - 12 days to the door in Nigeria, and the receiver does not have to deal with paperwork at the airport.
Nearest warehouse, one combined load
Goods from several suppliers first go to our warehouse closest to the source (Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Yiwu), where they are counted, photographed and loaded together. This lowers the freight cost per unit and catches problems with the goods before shipping.
Sea and air scheduled together
Main items go by sea to control cost; best-sellers go by air when they sell out. The same team arranges both, so you do not have to deal with two providers.
Duties are included for Nigeria only. Morocco prices exclude import duty and VAT.

FAQ: E-commerce and samples
01What is the minimum shipment?
Sea-freight LCL from 1 cubic metre, air freight from 21 kg. The exact minimum depends on the destination and type of goods. We can arrange small test batches, so feel free to ask for a quote.
02Can the goods be stored in your warehouse first?
Yes. All five warehouses (Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Yiwu) offer consolidation and short-term storage, and goods from several suppliers are loaded together once they have all arrived. Storage time and fees are based on the space and days actually used; short-term consolidation is usually included in the logistics package.
03Can you check and photograph the goods before loading?
Yes. At intake we count the pieces, check carton specs and keep photos, then check again before loading. This is especially useful when you cannot inspect the goods in person, and the records serve as evidence if a dispute comes up later.
04Can electronic accessories with batteries go in the same shipment?
Yes, but they must be declared under the compliance rules for battery-powered goods, and you need to provide a UN38.3 test report and MSDS. See the special cargo solution for details.
05How do I ship my 1688 or Alibaba orders to Africa?
Send us your order details and we give you the address of our nearest warehouse in China. Sellers deliver there; we check the parcel count, consolidate and ship by shared container or air, then clear and deliver or hold for pickup. We can also buy for you and pay sellers in RMB.
