How should I ship large orders from China to Africa?
Use full containers, topped up with LCL, and choose duties-paid door-to-door delivery that includes clearance and delivery at destination. Do not buy the sea leg only.
When the volume fills a container (about 28 cubic metres for a 20GP, about 68 for a 40HQ), ship a full container: the lowest cost and the fewest handling steps.
Goods from several suppliers first go to our warehouses in China (Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Yiwu), where they are counted, checked and loaded together.
For recurring purchases, the goods description and HS code are confirmed once and reused for later batches, which ship in step with your buying schedule.
One company handles export declaration, sea freight, import clearance and inland delivery, and the door-to-door price is fixed before shipping.
Do not leave clearance to your overseas customer: clearance in many African countries needs local licences and experience, and mistakes lead to demurrage.
Common problems
01
You cannot promise your customer a door-to-door price
With only a sea-freight price, clearance fees, duties and delivery costs at destination are unknown. Quoting your overseas customer to the port only, they hesitate over the uncertain extra costs, or dispute them after the goods arrive.
02
Several suppliers are hard to coordinate
Bulk purchases often involve a dozen or more suppliers with different delivery dates. Shipping separately is expensive and there is no single check of the goods.
03
Certification requirements discovered just before shipping
Mandatory certification for Nigeria and other countries must be completed before loading. Finding out the goods need SONCAP only once they are produced and ready to ship pushes back the whole production and shipping plan.
04
When the customer's own clearance goes wrong, the shipper takes the blame
Overseas customers unfamiliar with local clearance, or missing required certificates, cannot collect the goods on arrival. Demurrage builds up daily, and the shipper is often asked to share the cost, which can even put future orders at risk.
05
Every batch starts from scratch
With recurring purchases, changing provider for each batch, re-checking goods descriptions and documents and asking for new quotes every time is costly, and lead times and door-to-door costs never settle.
Our approach
One quote that covers delivery to the door
Sea freight, import clearance, duties and inland delivery are combined into one door-to-door price. You can add it straight to the goods value in your quote to your customer, without leaving a buffer for later costs.
The nearest warehouse, one check for everything
Every supplier delivers to our warehouse closest to the source (Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Yiwu). We count each batch, check carton specs and keep photos, then load everything together once it has all arrived.
Certification starts during production
When we take the order we confirm whether the destination needs SONCAP, NAFDAC or other certification, and start the process while you produce, so the goods are not ready with no way to ship.
Our own team clears customs in Nigeria
Clearance in Nigeria is handled by our own team in Lagos, with no third party in between. Inspections or classification disputes are dealt with directly, and we keep you updated at every milestone: loading, sailing, arrival, release and delivery sign-off.
Long-term scheduling in step with your purchases
The goods description and HS code are confirmed once and reused for later batches. We book space for each batch in step with your buying schedule, so you do not start from scratch every time. Long-term customers with steady volumes can discuss payment terms.
Duties are included for Nigeria only. Morocco prices exclude import duty and VAT.

One price to my door, no trips to the port
Mr. OkaforWholesale business owner
“Before, when goods reached the port I had to find an agent and run the clearance myself, and the costs were never clear. Now one price covers everything and the goods arrive at my warehouse door. I just focus on selling.”

Goods from several suppliers, consolidated into one shipment to Lagos
Mr. IbrahimHardware wholesaler
“What I care about most is whether each supplier's goods have arrived. Every batch comes with photos and a carton count. The hinge batch was 30 cartons short — it was caught and made up before shipping, not discovered after arriving in Lagos.”

FAQ: Bulk cross-border sourcing
01We are a factory without an import-export licence. Can we still ship?
Yes. We can help you complete the export declaration through an agency declaration; you just provide the goods details and the sales contract. The exact method depends on how you settle payment and claim tax refunds, so please mention this when you ask for a quote.
02Can the duties-paid price go up along the way?
No. Door to door with duties included is one all-in price with no other charges; the quote is the final bill. Only three things are charged separately: extra duties and fines when the declaration does not match the actual goods, demurrage and storage caused by the receiver, and SONCAP or NAFDAC certification ordered separately. The full terms are on the service guarantee page.
03Can we settle monthly?
Long-term customers with steady volumes can discuss payment terms. The first shipments are usually settled per shipment; once the relationship is steady we can discuss monthly settlement.
04Can you inspect the goods for me?
At warehouse intake we do logistics checks: piece count, carton specs, the condition of the outer packaging, and photos for the record. This is not the same as a professional third-party inspection of product function and quality. If you need a quality inspection, we recommend hiring a professional inspection company; we can arrange the time and space for it.
05Can you pay my suppliers for me?
We are a logistics provider and do not offer sourcing or payment services. We recommend settling payment with your suppliers directly, or using a professional sourcing agent. We handle all the logistics, from warehouse intake to delivery.
06Do the goods need insurance?
The all-in duties-paid door-to-door price already includes cargo insurance, so the goods are covered all the way and you do not need to buy it separately. Please declare the real value of the goods; if there is a loss, we help you claim under the policy terms.
